Randy Chaney

Randy Dale Chaney, 66, of Odessa, passed away on September 9, 2021, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E. Hwy 80, Odessa, Texas 79762.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, with Isaac Denson officiating.

Randy was born in Odessa, Texas to Floyd Nolen Chaney and Jackie Nell Chaney on July 31, 1955.  He went to high school at Odessa High, graduating in 1972.  He worked as a System Control Operator for TXU for 20 years.  He was involved in the local FFA, played softball, was an avid hunter, loved ranching and his family.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Nell Chaney.

Randy is survived by his wife, Jeanette Kay Chaney; his former wife, Denise Sharp Chaney; his daughters, Marci D’Nett Chaney and Laurie Christine Longfellow and her husband James Longfellow; and his step-daughter, Mandy Kay McCary and her husband Mark Edward McCary; his sister, Robbie Chaney Brandehoff and her husband Jim Brandehoff; his father, Floyd Nolan Chaney and his wife Yvette Chaney; and his grandchildren, Xander Faulk, Sirena Faulk, Jonathan Longfellow, Anne McCary, Kate McCary and Nora McCary.

Memorials may be given to a veteran’s organization of your choice.  The family of Randy wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses, doctor, and staff at Odessa Regional Medical Center.
