Raquel Rodriquez

Raquel Carrasco Rodriquez, age 59, of Odessa, TX, passed away on March 30, 2017 in Odessa.

Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Juan Fernando Bonilla officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Raquel was born April 14, 1957 to Carlos Carrasco and Mary (Bueno) Carrasco in Odessa, TX. She graduated from Ector High School, class of 1976. She married the love of her life on August 12, 1976 in Odessa. She worked for Furr's Meat Market and Wal-Mart as an HBA Supervisor. After her retirement she enjoyed her time with her grandkids. She loved making glass bead rosaries, bracelets and charms. She loved working in the yard and planting flowers and plants. She especially loved going to visit her son and daughter and grandkids. She would spoil them rotten by buying them as much as she could. That was her passion, her grandkids. She also loved her 3 chihuahuas; Chica, Flash and Jett.
Raquel loved the friendships she formed with people she worked with or came in contact with. She is cherished and adored by her family and friends. Her children's friends all knew her as "Mom". She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Raquel is preceded in death by her grandmothers Isabel and Louisa; her father, Carlos and her sister, JoAnn.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Rodriquez; daughter, Myra Rodriquez; son, Daniel Rodriquez and his wife Tina; grandkids, Gabriel, Robert (Deuce), Nikolas, Milena; sister, Susie Carrasco; brothers, Ernie Carrasco and Carlos Carrasco and her mother, Mary Carrasco, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
