Ray Pacheco

Ray Casas Pacheco, 63, of Odessa, passed away July 26, 2009 at his residence.

He was born on May 19, 1946 in Ft. Stockton, Texas to Mike F. Pacheco and Anita Casas Pacheco. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired truck driver. He married M. Victoria San Miguel on April 8, 1970 in Odessa. Ray was a very loving and caring person. He loved being around his grandkids, friends and his second family at Cashway West. He loved to fish, woodwork and care for his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Casas Pacheco, and brothers, Johnny Pacheco, Mike Pacheco, Jr., and Jesse C. Pacheco.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Pacheco of Odessa; four children, John-Albert Munoz of Odessa, Richard Munoz of Snyder, Lorie Munoz Chavez of Odessa and Ray Pacheco, Jr. of Boerne, Texas; father, Mike F. Pacheco of Ft. Stockton; two sisters, Nora Montez of Imperial and Rosanna Ortiz of Houston; two brothers, Joe Pacheco, and Chris Pacheco both of Ft. Stockton seven grandchildren, Clay Munoz, Jason Munoz, Matt Soto, Krystyna Munoz, Jacob Munoz, Nicholas Chavez and Zachary Munoz; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2009 in St. Marys Catholic Church with Rev. Santiago Udayar officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
