Raymond Carson, 54 of Ames, Oklahoma passed away on March 8,2014 in Enid, Oklahoma. Visitation will be on Friday March 14, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15th, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Bailey of Westwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Raymond Carson was born in Odessa, Texas to Glen and Peggy Carson on
June 2,1959. He went to school in Odessa, Texas. He married Shirley Maxwell on October 10,1992 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1977. Raymond worked for Cherokee Egg Farm while in High School. After high school he worked for several Oil related companys, and was liked by all his employers. After moving to Ames, Oklahoma to help care for his fatherinlaw, Raymond found his niche as a very good handyman, helping all who needed him and his expertise. Raymond was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ames, Oklahoma where he was frequently seen with his sons Michael, Christopher and Scooter Paul.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father Glen Carson Sr., Stepson Steve Smith and Fatherinlaw Paul Maxwell.

Raymond Carson is survived by his wife Shirley and three sons,Michael, Christopher and Scooter Paul, all of the home. Stepsons, Jeff Smith and wife Bobbie of Ames, Oklahoma, Kurt Smith and wife Brandy of Wyalusing, Penn., Stepdaughters Kimberly Bulls and husband Rodger and April Coppedge both from
Temple, Texas, Mother, Peggy Green of Odessa, Tx. Sisters Marsha Escogne and husband John of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Brenda Kinney and husband Milton of Odessa, Tx., and Brother Glen Carson Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Odessa, Tx. Raymond is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces who will all miss Uncle Raymond dearly.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: Russell Battenfield, Milton KinneyJr., David Kinney, Michael Kinney, Glen Allen Carson III., Philip Kinney.
