Raymond Reeves

Raymond Louis (Sonny) Reeves, age 80, of Odessa, TX, passed away on January 4, 2014 at his residence after a long illness.

Raymond was born on September 20, 1934 to Gus Ellis Reeves and Virgie Mae Bonds Reeves in Durant, TX. He married Mary Ellen Pixey on June 11, 1983 in Odessa. They were married until her death on October 23, 2010. Raymond was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. He worked at Crusher Accessories, Conley Lot & Nickles, Continental Product Merchants Truck Lines and HK Armored Trucks.

Raymond is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Reeves; parents, Gus and Virgie Reeves; sons, Donnie and Ronnie Reeves; great grandson Liam Riley Peevy.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Reeves Tyler and husband Jerry Tyler of Odessa; step daughter, Debe Davis of Columbus, Ohio; step sons, Mike Pixley and wife Mari Beth of Houston, Pat Pixley of Euless, TX.; 14 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
