Raymond "R.C." Conley Stucks

R.C. Stucks was called to his eternal home the evening of December 28, 2023, in Odessa, TX surrounded by all six of his sons and family.

R. C. was born as the 11^th of 15 children to Albert C. and Frona Stucks in Bradley, Oklahoma on April 27, 1935.  From a young age, his nickname was Butch, given to him by his father.  R.C. got to pick his name, Raymond Conley, when he registered for the selective service.  He was known as “Sparky” as his CB handle, given to him during his 50+ year career as a welder.  R.C.’s pride was found in the lives of his six sons, only to be trumped by their wives, his grandkids, and great grandkids.  Anytime you talked to him, he would be praising the accomplishments of his family.  He found the love of his life, Mary Stucks, and married her on August 2, 1968, and stayed by her side until her last breath in March of 2018.  He is now walking the streets of Glory, praising Jesus with her.  While R.C. will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on in those who love him.

R.C. is preceded in death by his wife Mary Stucks of Odessa, TX.

R.C. is survived by his son Raymond Stucks and wife, Diane of Marshall, TX; son Steve Stucks and wife, Teri of Oklahoma City, OK; son Stan Stucks and wife, Christine of Odessa, TX; son Bryce Stucks and wife, Yvette of Shawnee, OK; son Brian Stucks and wife, Jill of Little Elm, TX; son Chris Stucks and wife, Jeanie of Shawnee, OK; 12 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hubbard, Blake Hubbard, Collin Stucks, Tyler Stucks, Zane Stucks, and Zack Stucks. Honorary pallbearers are Ross Wyman, David Morris, Jarod Searcy, Kelly Cecil, and Lance Stucks.

The family of R.C. Stucks wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who have helped in any way during this tough time.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Thompson and Rev. Ned Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
