Raymond Washburn

Raymond R. Washburn went to be with the Lord early in the morning on April 13, 2008. He was born to Bessie and Cecil Washburn in Wheeler County, TX on September 19, 1929

Raymond was a loving brother, husband, father and family man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting arrowheads when time permitted with his family. He attended North Side Senior Citizen Center where he enjoyed playing Bingo.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 46 years Lillie Washburn, son; Mark Washburn and wife Kristy of Odessa; daughter, Debora Washburn of Ft Worth, TX; grandchildren, Justin Washburn and Kaitlyn Washburn of Odessa, TX; sisters, Wanda Beauford of Lubbock, TX, Merle Quisenbery and husband Robert of Burnet, TX; brothers, John Washburn and wife Frances of Odessa, TX, Walter Washburn and wife Judy of Burnett TX, Cecil Washburn and wife Melba, of Odessa, TX and many nieces and nephews; adopted daughter Rebecca Kirk of Fort Worth, TX and grandson Nicholas Kirk of Fort Worth, TX.

He is preceded in death by a brother Billy Washburn; a sister Grace Cooper and a daughter Sandra Washburn and parents Bessie and Cecil Washburn.

Services are scheduled for 10 A.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, brother Terry Wright officiating. The family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday April 15, 2008 from 6-7 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
