The Rev. Dr. Arthur Digby, Jr., died February 3rd at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas at the age of 89. He had been an ordained minister of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ for more than 65 years, during which time he served congregations in Middletown and Henderson, Kentucky and Plainview and Arlington, Texas. In retirement he was the interim minister in seven churches in Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky. His life of service included many boards and civic organizations. In the city of Arlington, he served for many years on the library board, an active participant in the Arlington Ministerial Association, and on the committee to redistrict the city. He served as a trustee of Juliette Fowler Homes, trustee emeritus of the board of directors of Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University, and served as moderator of the Christian Church in the Southwest.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Digby, Sr., and Kathryn Henderson Digby, sisters Kathryn Digby Hederman and Dorothy Digby Vaughn and his beloved wife of 66 years Virginia Joy Leathers Digby.
His survivors include the Rev. David and Meg KnolDigby of Ames Iowa, Jana and Dr. Chuck Blay of Kauai, Hawaii and the Rev. Steve and Gwen Digby of Odessa, Texas. There are nine grandchildren and ten great grand children.

Memorial services will be held at Thursday February 7th at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, Odessa, Texas and Saturday February 9th at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Arlington Texas.
