R.G. Wagner

December 13, 1932 — January 17, 2013

R.G. Wagner, 80, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born December 13, 1932 in Britton, Texas to John and Nellie Wagner. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Graphic Arts salesman until he retired.

On August 12, 1952 he married the love of his life, Sharlene Hale. After 63 years their love was stronger every day. They had two children, Cheryl Nichols and Ronnie Wagner.

Preceding him in death were his mother and father four brothers, Doyle, Johnny, Byford and Ray Wagner and one sister, Margie Pryor.

R.G. is survived by his wife, Sharlene Wagner daughter, Cheryl Nichols son, Ronnie Wagner and wife Teressa four grandchildren, Dustin Nichols, Shae Wagner, Kari Peer and Barbara Nichols nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wagner, Bill Davis, Shae Wagner, Cory Wagner, Josh Peer and Ted Hackney. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy House.

Visitation will be from 2 4 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Crossroads Fellowship chapel with David Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
