Rheta Ann Courtney

August 7, 1948 — July 1, 2023

Ennis, Texas

Rheta Ann Baker Courtney left this world on Saturday, July 1, 2023, to be with her Lord and Savior. She had family by her side.

Rheta was born in Sulpher, Oklahoma on August 7th, 1948, to H.B. and Modelle Baker. She was an only child but spent time with and was very close to so many cousins. The family soon moved to Midland, Texas, where she was raised. She graduated from Midland Lee. After graduating she married and had two beautiful girls. She attained a CNA certification and began working at Medical Center Hospital. She was later involved in a horrible car wreck and became disabled. Rheta loved to spend time with her family and was always a positive uplifting person. Even when everything was going wrong, she would always tell everyone it is easier to smile than frown. She was a K9 lover for sure. She always had puppies and dogs. They always made her smile.

Rheta is preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Modelle.

Rheta is survived by her daughters, Theresa Seibold (Kevin),

Melissa Killam (Scott); eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday July 15th, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating. Flowers can be sent to Sunset Memorial Gardens.
