Rhonda Jones

Rhonda Jewell Jones, beloved wife, loving mother, indulgent grandmother, and devoted Christian went home to join her Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away at ORH on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 following a short illness.

Rhonda was born to Dan and Hattie Miller on April 12, 1954 in Stamford, Texas. Her passions in life were attending church and working with her Awana girls, shopping, taking trips with her family, reading, and spending time with her beloved Shih Tzu Lacy Lee.

Rhonda leaves behind a rich legacy of undying love, family involvement, and strong Christian devotion. Throughout the tragedy of losing her husband OPD Corporal Arlie Jones, she maintained her faith and quiet dignity. She never wavered in her belief that God is in control. Her steadfastness was a beacon for others. She gracefully shared her loss with the community and with the law enforcement family, for she recognized that they had suffered a loss as well. Pretty Lady, as Arlie called her will be much missed by those remaining, but it is will heartfelt love that she is released to rejoin Arlie at Heavens gate and to walk with him upon streets of gold.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband Arlie Jones, her parents, her brother Jay Miller, and her grandson Christopher Foppiano.

She is survived by her five daughters: Shanna Foppiano and husband Nick, Mandy Hudspeth and husband Shane, Shonda Hudspeth and husband Ronnie, Kathleen Jones, and Chelsea Jones; her brother Mike Miller; seven grandchildren: Carla Favazza, Nicholas Foppiano Jr., Caitlin Foppiano, Kayla Miller, Rebekkah Miller, Jaden Boren, and Tyler Boren; and one great-grandchild Nicholas Foppiano III.

Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Griffin Jones officiating.

Family will receive friends on Monday March 24, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
