Richard Garza

Richard Garza, age 49, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 in Odessa.

He was born April 5, 1961 in Weslaco, Texas to Jose Trevino Garza and Emma Garza Samuido. He married Tiny Hinojos on May 7, 1983 in Odessa. He was a generous, loving father and husband who was always able to make others smile and laugh. He was a great and loyal friend who always gave more than he had. He loved his dogs and recently acquired longhorns. He was a loyal supporter of the Ector Livestock Show and local 4H Club. With his son Stephen and continuing with his beloved niece and nephew, Katie and George, he raised champion Boer Goats.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesus Garza his grandmother, Maria Garza and his father, Jose Garza.

He is survived by his wife, Corina TinyGarza his daughter, Natalie Garza son, R. Stephen Garza grandmother, Andrea Bustos mother, Emma Samuido and friend, Atanacio Trejo father in law, Ramon Hinojos mother in law, Olivia Hinojos sister, Olga Garza brother in law, Kirk Holden sister, Suzanne Hughes brother in law, David Hughes sister, Odella Rickard brother in law, Andy Rickard sister, Emma Genster brother in law, Tim Genster brother, George Garza sister in law, Sylvia Garza sister in law, Carolina Keith brother in law, Ronny Keith brother in law, Carlos Hinojos sister in law, Amanda Mahan brother in law, Michael Mahan nieces and nephews, Nathan, Micah, and Jim Holden, Heather and Kit Bredimus, Tracy Hughes, Emery and Erik Rickard, J.Brolley and Charles Genster, George Garza, Beverly Zuniga and Jennifer Cerda, Katie Keith and Samuel Mahan.

Visitation with the family will be 6:007:30 PM Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2010 at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.
