Rita Hill

Rita Theresa Ratliff Hill, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in Odessa, at age 88.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1923 to Sarah Bridget Culliney Evans and John Addison Evans. She was raised in Ohio and graduated from Bueyrus High School in 1941. She moved to Odessa in 1952. She was a member of CrossRoads Fellowhip Church for 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother John A. Evans, Jr. who was in the U.S. Marines and was killed in Korea in February 1951 her grandson Brian Ratliff in 2002, her husbands Carl W. Ratliff in 1976 and Joe W. Hill in 2001.

Rita is survived by her son, Ned Lee Walton and wife Nancy of San Antonio, Texas her daughter, Jean Kay Wills and husband Ted of Odessa stepdaughter, Martha Jo Black and husband Robert of Plainview, Texas her four granddaughters, Angela Blankenship and husband Don of Odessa, Kimberly Long of San Antonio, Texas, Deanna Minneman and husband Steve of Denver, Colorado, and Tina James and husband Don of Harker Heights, Texas 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 57 PM Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 Friday, January 27, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Matthew Levant officiating.

The family requests memorial be directed to CrossRoads Fellowship Church.
