Robbie Scheile

Our Nana Bo went home to be with Jesus on Monday, March 7, 2022. Robbie Scheile, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Odessa, Texas.

The service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM with the interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastor Kris Bartley will be officiating.

Robbie was born on November 22, 1951, to Bobby and Betty Jones. She grew up in Odessa and married Sam Scheile on March 12, 1971. They loved to garden and plant trees together. They loved their yard and spent many hours on the front porch listening to the sprinklers. She was famous for her peach trees, and to this day it’s hard to find a peach as good as hers. Robbie was an excellent caregiver and took good care of Sam before he went home in 1999. She made it home in time to celebrate their 51st anniversary in heaven together.

Robbie was also a great mom. While we were young, she cooked the best breakfasts and always had supper ready when we got home from school. Since we became adults, she was always waiting for our phone call. She would cry and laugh with us, give us advice, keep our confidence, counsel, and pray for us and, when needed, corrected us. She loved it when we would join her on the porch for coffee, tea, or Pepsi. She would always scoot over so that we could snuggle up to her heater buddy as we sat out with her in sub-freezing weather. She always knew what we needed.

Robbie was a great Nana Bo. It was important to Nana to give “Hi” and “Bye” hugs. She would stop everything she was doing to listen and make the kids feel special. Nana taught all the kids to play “Pounce”; and, oftentimes, she let them win. The goal of each grandkid was to grow taller than Nana. Every hug was an excuse to measure. Just recently, Nana proudly became the runt of the family. Robbie loved to fish, even though she rarely had any luck at it!

She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Scheile; her parents, Bobby Jones, and Betty and step-father, Freddie Tankersley; her mother-in-law, Annie Scheile, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her children: Kasey and Greg Niemann and their children, Makaleigh and Hunter; Karey and Justin Grametbaur and their children, Peyton and Preslyn; Adam and Laura Scheile and their children, Ashlyn, Dillon, Taylor, and Bailey. She is also survived by her siblings: Cecil and Sue Jones, Les and Tammy Jones, Jess and Toni Jones, Debra and David Hall, and Tammy and Mark Clifton. She is also survived by Aunt Teen, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Adam Scheile, Greg Niemann, Justin Grametbaur, Dillon Zavala, Peyton Grametbaur, and Hunter Niemann.
