Robbie Jo Vanderburg passed from this world on April 9, 2025.

Robbie Jo was born in Rule, TX on January 15, 1928. She spent her childhood in various farming communities during the depression and her teenage years during WWII. She moved to Odessa, TX during this time and started attending Immanuel Baptist Church in 1946 where she met her husband, Jack. They were married on September 14, 1946.

Robbie Jo loved working in the yard and growing flowers was her specialty. She loved sports and played in a women’s volleyball league, she also spent many years in various bowling leagues, first with Jack, and then with her daughters. She loved watching football, baseball, and basketball on TV, and seldom missed a sporting event involving her sons and grandchildren.

Robbie Jo was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Jack Vanderburg; her son Stephen Vanderburg; two sisters, Laverne Knight, and Geraldine Hailes; two brothers, Buford, and George Bush; her parents, George W. and Easter Bush, and her son-in-law, Patrick Munn.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan Munn and Ann Davis (Jerry); two sons, Danny (Mary) and Keith Vanderburg; grandchildren, Lance, Jerrod and Jeremy Davis, Chad Bell, James and Jenny Munn, Daniel and Nathan Vanderburg, Misty Vanderburg; step grandchildren, Laura and Tom Munn; nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell Officiating.
