Robert Angle

Bob Angle was born November 27, 1928 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He received
his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Iowa State University
while on a football scholarship there. He was an adventurous soul having
worked 52 jobs in his life. The first job paid in part with candy bars which made him very happy Directly after college he played professional football starting preseason with the Chicago Bears then moving to their second line team in St. Louis. He also played for the Orange County Rhinos in the early 60s, in Orange County, CA.
His most unusual employment was as a dolphin catcher and trainer in Fort Myers, Florida. Throughout his life Bob wrote short stories and articles some of which were published in various magazines. In Odessa, he managed CED for many years.
His last full time employment was with Allianz as a life insurance, mutual funds, and annuities salesman and consultant.

Bob and his wife, Jerry, moved to Odessa in May of 1976 . Unfortunately, she passed
from lung cancer in June of 1978 on the eve of their 29th wedding anniversary. In the summer of 1979 Bob remarried. He and Sue Angle were married for 23 years, residing
in Odessa.

Bob was active in the Odessa community, serving as President of his
Rotary club one year, and teaching Sunday school at Asbury Methodist
Church prior to his decline. An avid racquet ball player almost to the
very end Bob was still playing racquetball and doing pushups up
until the year before his passing He will always be remembered for his
smile, the twinkle in his eye, his positive and upbeat spirit, and as
a man who never shied away from tough situations.

of Fort Myers, FL Brett Pomykala of Charelston, S.C. Kristen Pomykala of
Sarasota, FL

Two greatgrandchildren: Marissa Drake of Fort Myers, FL Ethan Playford
of Fort Myers, FL.

His former wife: Sue Angle of Odessa, Texas.
