Robert Barraza, Jr.

Robert Barraza Jr, 32, of Odessa, passed away on December 28, 2024, at his home in Odessa, Tx. 

Visitation will be held on Friday from hours 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on January 3rd, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Cesar Nieto officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. 

After the funeral food and beverages will be held at Hilltop venue located in West Odessa at 9541 W 57th St, Odessa, Tx from the hours of 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. 

Robert was born in Amarillo, Texas, on October 28, 1992. He went to school in Odessa graduating from Odessa high school class of 2011. After high school Robert started his career in the oil and gas industry servicing valves. In this line of work Robert also picked up welding and machine on both manual mills and manual lathes. Over the years he and his father would also contract residential construction. He and his father built his home together were currently resided. Robert currently worked in Oilfield sales at RK Supply. 

He is survived by his brother, Michael Anthony Lara; and sister, Daisy Adel Nieto; as well as his parents, Abel and Brandy Nieto. 

Pallbearers will be Josh Herrera, Robert Flores, Jayden Ponce, Erika Marquez, D’awn Paul, Austin Bejarano, Adam Barraza and JJ Lara.
