Robert Cartwright

Robert Cartwright, 59, of Odessa, TX, passed away on February 18, 2020 in San Angelo, TX.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM, February 26, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Robbie Boyd officiating.

Robert “Robin” Cartwright was born in Odessa, TX to Bob Cartwright and Teddy Lewis on May 2, 1960.  He went to school in Odessa, TX and graduated from Odessa High School.  Robert married Barbara Harris on February 8, 1980 and together they had their daughter, Bridget, on October 11, 1985.  Robert had many jobs including car salesmen, owner of a catering truck, and working various jobs in the oil and gas industry.  Robert loved to fish and felt most at home on the lake.  Robert also had a passion for cooking and made excellent food.  Robert knew how to have a good time and made tons of friends wherever he went.  He had a soft spot for animals and most recently took in a stray cat and gave her a home.  Robert will be remembered for his good times and good food.  He will be missed.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Bob Cartwright, his mother, Teddy Lewis, and his brother-in-law, Bruce Swingle, and his grandmother, Lucille Templeton.

Robert is survived by his daughter Bridget Castillo and her husband Josh Castillo, his brother Mike Cartwright, and his sister, Cheri Swingle, his granddaughter Sophie Castillo, his grandson Jonas Castillo, his nephew Justin Cartwright and his wife, Sadie Cartwright; their children, Ruby and Calvin Cartwright, his niece Misti Crouch, her husband Coby; and their children Colton and Makenzi Crouch.
