Rodney Dean Mann, 60, of Odessa, Texas was called home by the Lord to rejoin his brother, sister, mother and father on October 20, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Rodney passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loved ones, including his pride & joy, his daughter, Aspen Mann McClung.
A memorial and celebration of Rodney’s life and the love he had for so many friends and family members will be held at 7131 Sleepy Hollow St., Odessa, Texas with dinner to be provided on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Vaughny Taylor officiating. There will be a graveside service and burial to follow in Merkel, Texas at Rose Hill Cemetery, Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
Rodney Dean Mann was born in Abilene, Texas to William and Beverly Mann on October 30th, 1963. Rodney attended Permian High School, graduating with the class of 1982. Rodney attained his Journeyman License as an Electrician and finished his career with Solv Energy.
Rodney is preceded in death and has now rejoined his grandparents, June Beall and William P. and Annie J. Mann; his mother and father, Beverly and William Mann; his brother, Rusty Mann; and his sister, Jamie Dutch.
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Aspen and her husband Dylan McClung; and grandchildren, Kaisyn McClung, Daxtyn McClung and Deklyn McClung. Rodney is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and more friends than a person could count.
Pall Bearers for his service will be Dylan McClung, Mason Lee, Caden Hinojos, Colton Reyenga, Christian Lujan, Dwayne Bostic and Pierre Dunham.
Rodney’s family wishes to extend their deepest and most sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the family and friends who have helped during this difficult time. We could not have made it through this without y’all. We would especially like to thank Interim Healthcare for helping to make the end of his journey as peaceful and painless as possible. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to Solv Energy for the amazing work environment, the friendships and kindness that you showed towards Rodney both at and outside of work will never be forgotten.
