Roland, our father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2008 and returned to his Heavenly father after complications resulting from advanced age and recent surgery.

Roland is the son of Roland Thomas and Florence Josephine Prevost Corriveau and was born November 16, 1919 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He married Melba Roth Havins Peggy on August 2, 1940 in Florence, Arizona, and was sealed to her in the Arizona Temple in 1948. After 44 years of married bliss, Peggy departed this life on December 25, 1984.

Roland is survived by his five children: Roland Corri Jenni Corriveau of St. George, Utah; Sandy Jim McKowan of Odessa, Texas; Troy L. Lynn Corriveau of St. George, Utah; Dwight Holly Corriveau of Tempe, Arizona; and Kyle Cecilia Corriveau of Taylorville, Illinois. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Roland graduated from Miami High School and subsequently served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He worked for the Holsum Bakery as an Independent Distributor for 42 years in the Globe Miami community and raised five children in that area which they all loved.

He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many years in church activity and service. The church calling he loved most was serving as Scout Master where he was leader to many boys who obtained their Eagle Scout awards.

He will be greatly missed.

There will be a viewing at Lamont Funeral Home in Globe, Arizona, Thursday, October 16th from 10:00am to 11:00 am followed by a graveside service at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens at 12:00 noon. The cemetery is located on Hwy 60, a few miles west of Miami, Arizona.
