Roland Judson

Roland Roderick Judson, age 56, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 in Eddy County, New Mexico.

He was born June 25, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Robert Sidney Judson and Martha Beth McCellan Judson. He was raised in Wharton, Texas. After graduation from High School he moved to Creede, Colorado, where he worked as a miner. He then moved to South Fork and became a lumberjack. He married Cathy Walker Judson on November 25, 1975 in South Fork, Colorado. He moved with his wife Cathy to Odessa in 1981, where he was working in the PA division of Basic Energy. He enjoyed photography, astronomy, gardening, cooking, going for long drives and his pets. He is missed.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Judson of Odessa his brother, Bob Judson and wife Donna of Plano, Texas his sisters, Leslie Rainwater and husband Tom of Kerrville, Texas and Sydney Simpson and husband Bruce of Hondo, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with his brotherinlaw, Tom Rainwater officiating. The family requests casual dress for those attending the service.
