Rollie Davis

Rollie M. Davis, age 89 of Odessa, passed away, Wednesday July 13, 2011 in Odessa.

She was born February 21, 1922 near Westbrook, Texas. She was the youngest of five children born to Abner Bledsoe and Mary Elizabeth Bledsoe. She grew up being a share cropper with her family. Even though she dropped school at Harvest Time, she still graduated CoValedictorian. She married Robert Davis in 1939. She had two children. She was a homemaker and followed her husbands oil rigs. In the 1970s she went to work for MISD cafeteria and retired in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, her daughter, Barbara Reeves and one grandson.

Survivors include her son, Robert Davis of Luling, Louisiana nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Friday, July 15, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
