Roma Charlene "Sissy" Pearce

Roma Charlene “Sissy” Pearce passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 79 at her home in Odessa, TX. 

Family visitation and viewing will be Friday, August 9, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, TX from 6-8 pm. 

Funeral and graveside services will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, TX at 10 am. 

Charlene was born in Lake Providence, LA on January 31, 1945, to her loving parents Clifton Roy “Bud” and Marie Francis (Schrock) Turner. She married her beloved Verle C Pearce on June 10, 1961, in Bloomfield, NM. They moved to Odessa, TX in 1962 to begin their family: Shelly Ann, Verle C Jr., Tina Louise, and Buddy Allen. Charlene was a devoted mother and Nana. She worked at a nursing home and as a Registered Nurse at Medical Center Hospital before retiring in 2004. Charlene had the gift of hospitality and treated everyone as if they were family. She loved to cook and made home-cooked meals throughout her life that always had that extra touch of love added to every recipe. She loved the Lord, her husband, and her family. She treated everyone she met with kindness, compassion, and generosity. Her warm smile, big hugs, and understanding heart will be greatly missed. 

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, brothers: Carl, Rob, and Jimmy Turner, and her daughter-in-law Angela Pearce. 

Charlene leaves behind her siblings, Brenda (C.W.), Roger (Debbie), and Cindy (Derrell); her children, Shelly (Darrell), Verle, Tina (Jaroy), and Buddy (Jori); grandchildren, Scott, Nathan, Kayla, Austin, Vanessa, Roy, Chase, Alex, Jayden, and Roma; 10 beautiful great-grandchildren, plus many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews to carry on her legacy.
