Ronald Charles Newman

Ronald Charles Newman, long-time resident of Odessa, passed away at home on February 2, 2025, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 83. No services are planned. His body will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens alongside his wife and son, but as a believer, he is already enjoying eternal life in Heaven.

Ronald C. Newman and his twin brother, Donald F. Newman, were born in Centralia, Illinois on May 5, 1941, and immediately adopted by Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Newman. On July 31, 1965, Ronald married Marjy Jo Ferrell in Odessa, Texas. After serving in the United States Navy, Ronald spent many years as a music teacher for Ector County ISD. Ronald was a beautiful pianist and taught many students to play the piano. He and Marjy raised one son, Samuel F. Newman, born in Odessa on May 28, 1971. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, his wife and his son. He is survived by his stepbrother, Dwain Newman, of Houston, Texas.
