Rosa Holman

Rosa Rosie Jane Holman, age 90, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Odessa.

She was born May 4, 1920 in Coosa County, Alabama to Mary Chandler and Charlie Edwards. She grew up in Alabama and moved to Odessa in 1962. She married James Carrol Holman on April 13, 1984 in Odessa. She was a member of Tabernacle Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, James Carroll Holman her daughters, Vicki Jones and Kathaline Burley and her son, Boodie Butler.

Survivors include her brother, Lee Edwards of Sylacauga, Alabama her children, Josie Ogles of Sycamore, Alabama, Edward Butler of Crane, Texas, Billy Wayne Butler and wife Kay of Odessa, Texas, Gary Butler and wife Karen of Houston, Texas, and Kenneth Ray Butler and wife Andrea of Ardmore, Oklahoma 23 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 13, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with David Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
