Rosie Varela, 60, of Odessa Texas, our beloved passed away on May 19, 2022, in Odessa.
Visitation will be 6 PM - 8 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Taylor Robles of Sherwood Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Rosie Varela was born in Lorenzo, Texas to Ida Casias on August 16, 1961. She went to school in Odessa, TX. She married Steve Varela on June 24, 2013, in Odessa. She graduated from UTPB. She worked as an educator for ECISD for 18 years. Rosie will be remembered as a woman with endless love. Those who were blessed to have entered her life knew her as a woman proud of all children, inside the classroom and at home. The glue that held the family together, she made sure, before all else, family stuck together. While a loving mother, her boundless love showed true for her many grandchildren, both near & far.
Rosie is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Casias & sister, Kathryn Ramos.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Steve Varela; her children, Leonel & Mindy Casias, Jessica & Misael Bernal, Jesse & Maria Garcia, Jonathan Pacheco, Evelyn Varela, and Vincent Varela; her brothers & sisters, Ralph Casias, Manuel Casias, Paul Casias, Melissa Castillo, Michael Casias, Jimmy Casias, Christina Cital, and Danny Diaz; 16 grandchildren, Leonel Joseph Casias, Ashlynn Casias, Jayden Bernal, Caleb Bernal, Misael Bernal Jr., Aribella Garcia, Nicolas Garcia, Jazlynn Pacheco, Sariah Pacheco, Lillian Granado, Naylee Pacheco, Bryson Joseph, Kase Gamboa, Julie Varela, Josiah Ortega, and Kipp Varela.
Pallbearers will be Paul Casias, Danny Diaz, Leonel Casias, Leonel Joseph Casias, Jesse Garcia Jr., Jonathan Pacheco, Misael Bernal Sr., Jayden Bernal, Caleb Bernal, and Misael Bernal Jr.
