Roscoe Maxwell, 84 of Midland passed away on March 19, 2008 at Legend Nursing Home in Midland.
He was born on February 7, 1924 in Union County Ark. to Moses and Lula Maxwell.
He was a WWII Veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Deacon at Belmont Baptist Church. He retired from Yellow Jacket Oil Filed Service Company. His whole purpose in life was to help other people. He was also an avid Gardener.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Erma Maxwell; son Stephen Maxwell.
He is survived by his daughter; Paula Bledsoe and husband Larry of Midland; brother; Leo Maxwell of Thomasville GA; two grandchildren Barry Bledsoe and wife Amanda, Brandon Bledsoe; three great-grandchildren Cheyenne Bledsoe, Dayden Bledsoe, Haylee Bledsoe.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with John McLemore officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
