Rosemary Turnbull, 85, of San Angelo died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at a care facility in Grapevine, Texas. Mrs. Turnbull was born February 8, 1925 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Rosalie Everts and Charley E. Dees. She was reared and educated in Fort Stockton, attended Jolly Beauty School in San Angelo. She worked as a beautician in Fort Stockton. Rosemary met J. R. Rex Turnbull in Fort Stockton they were married there on August 21, 1945. The Turnbulls lived in several oil field communities, Post, Texas, Oklahoma, Seminole, Texas, Lovington, New Mexico prior to moving to Tatum, New Mexico in 1954. They returned to Lovington in 1969. Mr. Turnbull died in Lovington in 1980 and Rosemary moved to San Angelo.
Mrs. Turnbull was a much tailored lady.
Preceeded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Gilliam and husband Jeff of Grapevine, Texas Trudy Griffith and husband Les, Greg Turnbull and wife Linda of Odessa. Sisters, Trudy Barker of San Angelo and Dottie Neiman of Waxahachie. Grandchildren Selicia, Glenys, Leslie, Dawn, Jerry, Tye, and Cindy. Fourteen greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 8, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Hood officiating. Burial will be 2:30 PM MST at Lovington Cemetery in Lovington, New Mexico.
