Ross Hayden Bryant, age 79, of Odessa, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 in Odessa, Texas.
He was born December 10, 1933 in Stanton, Texas to Joseph Coleman Bryant and Lottie Alice McMurry Bryant. He was raised in Big Spring until the age of 17, then moved to Kermit where he met and married Ruby Joyce Algood on June 6, 1954 in Kermit, Texas. He worked for Dr. Pepper Bottling in Stanton, and in the oil field in Kermit and Odessa as a trucker, truck pusher and salesman. He was an avid bowler and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Odessa daughter, Gloria Jean Sealy and husband Scott of Andrews sons, Michael Ross Bryant and wife Sharon of Shelton, CT, Charles Hayden Bryant, of Gardendale and Homer Douglas Bryant of Odessa his twin brother, Homer Rufus Bryant of Kermit, his grandchildren, Shannon Sealy, Jonah Bryant, Cassy Bryant, Cody Bryant, Seth Bryant, Danielle Bryant, Lucas Bryant, Crystal Bryant and eight great grandchildren.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and a grandson, Kelly Sealy.
Pallbearers will be Cody Bryant, Lucas Bryant, John Bryant, Shannon Sealy, Danielle Bryant and Kenny Boucher. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Edwards and Big John Worthen.
Visitation will be 13 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Braswell officiating.
