Roy Wingate, age 26, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born August 2, 1983 in Odessa to Roy Allen Wingate and Cecelia Ione Leek Wingate.
Roy was a very caring and compassionate husband, son, uncle and brother. Known as Bubba, he loved his nephew Taylor very much. He loved all things outdoors, especially fishing, camping, four wheeling and his dune buggy. Having worked with his Dad since he was 7, he became a very skilled contractor that touched and helped many in our community. After graduating from Permian High School in 2001 he went on to attend TSTC in Sweetwater. He was also a member of the Bassin Bunch Bass Club in Midland, TX. He and his wife joined Second Baptist Church in 2008. Though he was here for just a short time, his impact on our lives will be with us forever. He will be dearly missed and we will see him again soon. This is not goodbyesee ya later.
The family would like to thank the staff at MCH CCU for their dedication and hard work as well as the staff at Hospice House for all their caring support of not only Roy, but our entire family. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice House Odessa or United Blood Services.
