Rudy Nunez

Rocky Nunez, 40 of Odessa, TX passed away on December 4, 2013 in Odessa, TX.

Rosary followed by visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Father Chavez of Saint Josephs Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow afterward.

Rocky was born in Odessa, TX to Brenda Nunez and Alfonso Urias on August 16, 1973. Rocky graduated from Permian High School in 1992. From there Rocky served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, NC in the 82nd Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. He was awarded several medals over the three years he served. After his discharge from the Army, he returned to Odessa, TX and worked as a machinist for 18 years.

Rocky is preceded in death by: his father, Alfonso Urias, his sister, Katie Marie Nichols, his grandparents, Maria and Alfredo Urias, Sr., his Nana, Carolina Nunez and his Best Friend til the End, Chad Edward Campbell.

Rocky is survived by: his daughter, Lillian Marie Nunez and his son, Noah Noel Nunez, his brothers, Corky Nunez, Joaquin Dominguez, Jr., and Jesse Urias, his sister, Lindsay Urias, his mother, Brenda Nunez and his uncle Rudy Nunez from Ft. Stockton, TX, his grandfather, Pancho Frank Nunez.

Pallbearers will be Joaquin Dominguez JR, Joey Urias, Carlos deLeon, Kelvin Calicutt, James Ortega and Danny Morales.

Rocky loved making people look, laugh, smile and wonder. He will forever be missed by his children, friends and family.
