Rufina Berzosa

Rufina Baeza Berzosa, 82, of Odessa, Texas, passed away in her home on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día, 2680 S. Highway 385, Odessa, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día, 2680 S. Highway 385, Odessa, Texas, with Pastor Jorge Poveda officiating.  The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. Highway 80, Odessa, Texas. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Rufina was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, to the late Filomeno and late Brijida Baeza on November 14, 1940.  She married Gonzalo Berzosa on January 19, 1960, in Saragosa, Texas.  Rufina was a God-fearing woman who enjoyed serving the Lord.  She dedicated her life to raising her family.  She enjoyed gardening, quilting and cooking.

Rufina is preceded in death by her parents, Filomeno and Brijida Baeza; and by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Rufina is survived by her husband, Gonzalo Berzosa; son, Jaime Berzosa and wife Dianie; daughter, Beatrice Berzosa; daughter, Diana Salazar; daughter, Leticia Barrientos and husband Miguel; daughter, Elena Arellano and husband Elizardo; son, Gonzalo Berzosa Jr.; daughter, Christina Mendoza and husband Antonio; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gonzalo Berzosa Jr., Jaime Berzosa Jr., Angel Berzosa, Noel Arellano, Elizardo Arellano Jr., Marco Mendoza and Eduardo Meraz.
