Ruth Smith

Ruth Eileen Bryant Smith, age 83, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Odessa.

She was born March 31, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri. She spent her young adulthood living and traveling all over the US and other countries. She spent the latter part of her life in Crane and Odessa. She enjoyed quilting, creative cooking, doll making with her sisters, working in her flower garden, and she loved spending time with her family, children and grand children. She loved people, her dog Lilly and loved having a good time the more the merrier. She loved the Lord. She was everyones sweet sister in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith her son, Daniel Fregia and her brother, Buehl Bryant.

Survivors include her sons James A. Fregia and Dale Edward Free her daughter, Kathryn L. Brooks her sisters, Bernice Kutscher, Evolee Ferris, and Verna Gowdy her grandsons, James Fregia, Justin Fregia, Joel Fregia, Bryant Free, Levi Mason, Joshua Mason, Micah Rodgers and Drew Rodgers and her granddaughter, Paloma Free.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, April 23, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with James Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
