Salvador Bañuelos

Salvador Bañuelos, 89 years old of Odessa, TX, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at his home.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Recitation of the Rosary to start at 6:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Deacon Jesse Ortiz officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Salvador Bañuelos was born in Camargo Chih. MX, on January 9, 1935, to Mother Juana Bañuelos and raised by his grandparents Simon and Jovita Bañuelos. He attended school in Rancho Floreno, Camargo Chih. Married to Evelia Hernandez in 1952. Moved to the USA with his family in November 1961. Worked as a farmer most of his life and retired from St. Lawrence where he was employed by Eugene Hirt.

A few years later he worked as a truck driver with his son’s company, C&C Trucking in Odessa, TX.

Salvador Bañuelos is preceded in death by his wife, Evelia Hernandez Bañuelos; grandparents, Simon and Jovita Bañuelos; mother, Juana Bañuelos; brothers, Silvano Bañuelos, Gilbert Bañuelos and Raul Franco.

Salvador is survived by one sister, Maria de Jesus Bañuelos; three daughters and two sons, Amparo Bañuelos and Manuel Ochoa, Yolanda Gamboa, Carlos Bañuelos and Pilar Bañuelos, Adriana Bañuelos, Fernando Bañuelos and Maricela Hale; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eduardo Lopez, Gerardo Lopez, Adrián Bañuelos, Alexis Bañuelos, Carlos Bañuelos Jr., Joshua Villalobos, and Damian Canava.

We want to thank all the family and friends who cherished and supported him when he was living and are now here to help give solace to the family in our time of need.
