Sandra "Sandy" Cox

Sandra (Sandy) Jo Cox went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Family visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, Odessa, Texas, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Memorial Services officiated by Dr. Jimmy Braswell will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM.

Sandy was born February 28, 1943, to C.M. and Mabel Riggs of Odessa where she was raised and later attended business college.  Sandy married the love of her life Doug Cox in 1978.  Sandy had a successful career in real estate and property management.   Sandy was very driven in her profession, but it was her faith in Christ that was her identity.  Her greatest joys were being a devoted wife to her husband Doug as well as mother to her sons Russell and Sean and doting grandmother to Sydney and Jesse.

Sandy is preceded in death by her two children, Russell Sterling Reynolds and Sean David Smith, as well as her parents, C.M. and Mabel Riggs.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Doug Cox of the home; daughter-in-law, Jodi Smith; and grandchildren, Sydney Smith and Jesse Smith of Buda, Texas; her brother, Donald Riggs and wife Lynne of Odessa; along with numerous nephews.
