Sara Swinney McCorcle, 66, of Odessa, Texas passed away on January 30, 2013 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be 57 PM Friday, February 1, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Byron McWilliams officiating.

Sara Swinney McCorcle was born in Overton, Texas to James and Irene Allen Swinney on August 24th, 1946. She attended school in Odessa, Texas. She married Gary Edwin McCorcle on January 4th, 1964 in Odessa, Texas. She was a selfemployed housekeeper for numerous years.

Sara Swinney McCorcle is preceded in death by father James Swinney, mother Irene Swinney, brother James Swinney Jr., and sister Carolyn Kennedy and grandson Cody Hollinghead.

Sara Swinney McCorcle is survived by her husband, Gary Edwin McCorcle, daughters Wendie McCorcle, Tracy Cowan and husband Allan, and son John McCorcle. She is also survived by grandchildren Brandon Irvin and wife Kristin, Eric Irvin and fianc Brittany Latham, Lindsy Cowan, Brad Cowan and wife Stephanie, and Caitlin Abalos.

Memorials may be given to Home Hospice.

The family of Sara Swinney McCorcle wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to M.D. George and M.D. Kaczor as well as all treating nurses and staff at Texas Oncology. In addition, we extend our sincere appreciation to Home Hospice and all of their around the clock staff. Last but not least, a very special thanks to neighbors, friends and extended family for all of their help, support and thoughts during this time.
