Sarah Dodson

Sarah “Helen” Dodson, 80 years old, of Odessa, Texas passed at home, with family by her side, on December 18, 2020.

She was born Sarah Helen Bryant, in Stanton, TX to Buck and Nancy Bryant on May 27, 1940.

Helen is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Helen Louise Dodson; 2 sisters, Reba Dail Bryant Miller and Clara Bell Bryant Upchurch; 3 brothers, Jerry Lynn "Little Buck" Bryant, Johnny Lee Bryant and Bobby Lewis Bryant; her mom, Nancy Etta Brooks Bryant; her father, Walter Lee "Buck" Bryant; and the father of her children, ex-husband, Grady Olen Dodson.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Bruce Olen Dodson and Jimmy Dale Dodson; 1 daughter, Penny Marie Dodson; 1 brother, Billy Dave Bryant; 2 sisters, Francis Pauline Bryant Lynn and Mildred Sue Bryant Hackney.  She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, their spouses and 6 great grandchildren: Christopher Grady Dodson, wife Kellie and daughters: Jayden and Emma, Tabatha Dodson Quick, husband Brandon and children: Alina and Bryce, Rustan Dave Dodson, wife Naticia and children: Natessa and Grady, Kenneth Olen Dodson and David Shayne Dodson.

At the time of her passing, Helen was living with her ex-daughter-in-law, Renea' Dodson, where she was surrounded with the love and care of her entire family, all day, every day.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating.
