Shelley Kidd

Shelley Kidd, 60, beloved sister, and aunt was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

She entered this world on November 1, 1962, in Monahans, Texas, born to Willis and Doris Kidd.

She is survived by her sister, Mary and husband Rusty Courtney; her two nieces, Rachel Hamilton and husband Christopher, and Amy Nava and husband Rainier; and her nephews Bryan Kidd and wife Tish, Ray Courtney, and Joey Townsend.

Shelley had a few passions in life which consisted of first and foremost her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers football and basketball teams. Shelley held a special place in her heart for her favorite basketball team the San Antonio Spurs. When she was not watching sports, Shelley watched every episode of The Price Is Right, Golden Girls, and the Looney Toons. The music Shelley enjoyed listening to the works of the Temptations and the love of her life, the King of Rock 'N' Roll, Elvis Presley. Her favorite past times consisted of playing games on her computer and participating in Special Olympics with her hometown friends. But above all else Shelley loved doting on her nieces and nephews and spoiling the family dogs.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery in Monahans, Texas at 12:00 PM.
