Sherry Munoz

February 24, 1959 — September 1, 2014

Sherry Lea Munoz, age 55, of Odessa, passed away on September 1, 2014. Sherry was
called HOME TO HEAVEN after her long courageous battle with cancer.

Sherry was born to George Ray and Shirley Ruddock on Feb. 24, 1959, in Brenham,
Texas. She lived most of her life in MidlandOdessa, Texas. Sherry attended Midland Lee High School, married her sweetheart in 1975 and gave birth to daughter Leah in 1976 and daughter Shannon in 1977. She began working at Sewell Ford, July 26, 1988, where she met and married Santos Munoz of Odessa. A year later she gave birth to Sonny Ray
Munoz in1996. As best friends, they enjoyed 19 years of marriage and raising Sonny Ray.
Her happiest times were spent laughing and spending time with family and friends. Sherry loved spending time in De Leon with Sonny Ray, her sister Sheila, daughter Leah, grandson Blayne, and mother Shirley. She always loved eating at Hwy 6 caf and rubbing it in to anyone who couldnt be there with her Sherry was a tomboy from the start and didnt mind working hard or getting dirty. She always respected the differences in others and had many friends and loved them all. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Our lives will never be the same without her, but will always be enriched because of her.

Sherry has been reunited with her father Ray, brother in law, Paul,
Uncle, Gene, and nephews, Matt and Joe in heaven.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Santos Munoz II, daughter, Leah Sides
and husband Bradley of De Leon, Texas, daughter, Shannon Patton of San
Antonio, son, Sonny Ray Munoz of Odessa, step daughter, Paula Quiroz and husband Danny of Odessa, step son, Santos Munoz III Bo and wife Kristina of Odessa, sister, Sheila Grimes of Spring, TX, brothers, Alvin Ruddock and wife Sandra, of Midland, Terry Ruddock and wife Laura of Odessa, mother, Shirley Ruddock of Odessa, grandchildren, Blayne Michael Sides, Reagan Renae Massengale, Drew Ashdon Darr, Marlee Monroe Fisher, Karena Quiroz, Isaiah Quiroz, Xavier Quiroz, Ayva Munoz, and Santos Munoz IV.

Our family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses at Medical
Center Hospital, especially Callie for all her love, support and tender
care and Home Hospice of Odessa. We would also like to give special
thanks to family and friends for your continuous love and support for
the whole family.
