Sherry Reffner

Sherry Paulette HugginsReffner, age 66, of Odessa, passed away Thursday September 12, 2013 in Odessa.

Sherry was born in Lyons, Kansas on November 28, 1946. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1963 and attended Sidneys Hairdressing college of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Sherry married Jerry James Reffner on June 20, 1965 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Lyons, Kansas.

Sherry was a stay at home mother and beautician for many years. She also worked for Dillons in Pratt, Kansas and for Sears in Woodward, Oklahoma. When she moved to Texas she started a whole new career and received her real estate license. She continued to work in real estate and in mortgage up until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, spending time at the lake and beach, traveling, golf and of course her grandchildren.

Sherry is survived by her three daughters, Shannon Leann Brewer and husband Sean Brewer of Richmond, KY, Jami Joelle Yonts and partner Kylie Yonts of Midland, TX, and Jessica Lyn Mohesky and husband Josh Mohesky of Andrews, TX Uncle Gene and Aunt Verba Dunbar of San Dimas, California and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Joshua Reffner of Richmond, KY, J. and Miah of Midland and Jacob and Jonathan Mohesky of Andrews.

Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry James Reffner of Odessa, Texas and parents Joe and Dorothy Huggins of Lyons, Kansas.

Visitation with the family will be 57 PM Wednesday September 18, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be given to a memorial fund that has been set up in the name of: Jerry J. Reffner Golf Scholarship Fund at Odessa Jr. College. The family of Sherry Reffner wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
