Sheryl Davis

Sheryl Alecia Davis, 50 years old, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home in Midland Texas.

She was born September 3, 1961 to Lynnetta Faith Lynn Shelton and James Howard Jim Shelton in Odessa, Texas.

She married Mark Lynn Davis on June 20, 1998 at Second Baptist Church in Odessa, TX
Sheryls passion in life was cooking for her family and her church. One of her favorite pastimes was to look over recipe books and try out new recipes on her family and friends. Even though she used a recipe for the base, she always changed them to suit her tastes. She enjoyed having everyone come to her house for every family gathering. She started her own catering business to be able to do weddings and church events. When she wasnt cooking, she loved to camp and fish. Some of her favorite memories were camping in Colorado with her husband and her family. She was a loving caregiver and servant to all.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her parents Lynn and Jim Shelton. She is survived by husband Mark Davis of Midland, TX, Sonja House and husband Mark of Odessa, TX, Sondra Shelton and Mike Napkori of Ft. Worth, TX, and Joel Shelton and wife Amie of Midland, TX. Nieces and Nephews, Chelsey Davis of Midland, TX, Shea McFarland and husband Phillip of San Diego, Haden House, Evan House, Grace Shelton and Landry Shelton, Lillie Davis and Kody Davis, Great nephew Talan McFarland and one great niece Peyton McFarland due January 30th, 2012.

Funeral Service will be Monday December 26th, 2011 at Second Baptist Church in Odessa Texas at 1 oclock in the afternoon with Pastor Randy Duckett and Mike Wright of FBC Iraan officiating and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Garden. Visitation will be 23 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home.
