Shirley Swanson

Shirley Jeanette Swanson, 76, of Odessa, passed away on December 12, 2013 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday December 16th from 6:008:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17th at 1:00 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, With Pastor Ken and Dene Redmon officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Shirley was born in Decatur, Illinois to Alfred and Minerva Reynolds on September 15, 1937. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1956. She then graduated from Decatur Business College. She married Bobby Swanson on December 18, 1957 in Odessa, Texas. She worked as pharmacy tech at Walgreens pharmacy for ten year, and a coowner and operator of Model Cleaners for over forty years. She was a member of Life Unlimited Church of Odessa, TX.

Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Coleman Reynolds Sr. brothers, Gerald B. Reynolds, and Donald Lee Reynolds and sister, Beverly Ann Reynolds.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Bobby Swanson daughter and soninlaw, Sherri and Robert Searcy, and their children Kevin Searcy and Lara Searcy daughter and soninlaw, Patti and Tom Stanford adopted son, Larry Woods and children Bobby Krystel Woods, and Michelle Woods seven great granddaughters, Brianna Woods, Aspen Woods, Mackenzie Woods, Cloe Venegas, Mia Searcy, Katalyna Searcy, and Kimber Woods and great grandson, Frankie Lopez, all of Odessa, TX. brother and sisterinlaw, Larry and Sharon Reynolds of Decatur, Ill., Alfred and Carla Reynolds of Mt. Zion, Ill., Howard and Barbara Reynolds of Decatur, Ill., Michael and Vickie Reynolds of Decatur, Ill. sister and brotherinlaw, Lisa and Mike Tate of Cerro Gordo, Ill. and mother, Minerva Gifford Reynolds of Mt. Zion, Ill.
