Sidney LaRue Lewallen, age 79, of Odessa, TX, passed away on July 2, 2018 in Nacogdoches, TX.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM, Friday, July 6, 2018, at First Baptist Church Odessa, TX.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM, Friday, July 6, 2018, at First Baptist Church Odessa, TX. with Rev. Dr. Byron McWilliams of First Baptist Church, and Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

LaRue was born in Smackover, Arkansas to Sidney and Jewel Lout on March 26, 1939. She went to school at Smackover. She married Harold Lewallen on November 25, 1964 in Midland, TX. She was the co-owner of Accelerando Music Service for 15 years. She sang in and was an officer for the choir at First Baptist Church in Odessa and directed the hand bell choir for more than 20 years.

LaRue is survived by her husband, Harold Lewallen, her son, Tim Lewallen, daughter in law, Jennifer Harris Lewallen and her four grandchildren, Chris, Sydney, Joseph and Marjorie.

Pallbearers will be Rick Pharaoh, Larry Dendy, James Franklin, Lee King, Charles Litchford, Marcus Thompson. Honorary: Larry Barrows.
