Stephen Main

Stephen K. Main of Odessa passed away on November 23, 2013 at home.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 with
Larry Hood officiating at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. A private celebration of Steves life will be held at a later date in Del Rio, Texas.

Steve was born in Monahans, Texas to MK and Helen Wadkins Main on April 20, 1956. He married his Darlin Little Bride on April 15, 1989 on Lake Twin Buttes, after the weighin of a Permian Bass Club Tournament. He graduated from Permian High School in 1974 and a member of the Permian Golf Team. Steve worked for several Oilfield Service Companies since he was 16 with his latest employer being Key Services. For many years he was a member of the Permian Bass Club, serving as president and a Board member of the Reel Thanz Organization that takes wound3ed soldiers on fishing trips in Del Rio.

Preceded in death by his parents, MK and Helen and sister Gail Ann. He is survived by his wife, Lynda and son Joey, step son, Ronny and two grandchildren, Kiley and Kalen.
His sisters, Linda Kay and Marilyn, brotherinlaw, Tim Schwager and wife Leslie. Several nieces and nephews.

Steven loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. He was also well known for his Steveisms.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Hospice or the American Cancer Society. We would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr.F. Salcido, Dr. TK George and Juanita along with the wonderful nurses in the Texas Oncology infusion lab and the Hospice house staff that was so thoughtful and helpful during the last few weeks.
