Steven Shackelford

Steve Shackelford, age 70, went to be with his heavenly Father, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his residence in Odessa, with his family at his side.

Steve was born July 15, 1945, in Joplin, MO, to Myrel and Evelyn Shackelford. He lived in Kansas and Oklahoma before coming to Texas in 1964. He was a mechanic for over fifty years and it was his passion. He loved his family, friends, classical music, ice cream and his favorite four legged child PJ.

Steve is preceded in death by his wife Pat, his parents, brother Larry and son Michael.

He is survived by his children; Steven Shackelford, Sheryl Bond and husband Mickey, Tonjua Farris and husband Darrel, Angela Wilson and husband Bryne, James Drexler and his wife Shannon; grandchildren, Kelsey, Trey, Mark, Tanner, Jeffrey, Rachel, Jason, Zach, Baylie and Alyson; great-grandchildren; Noah, Layla, Cooper, Hunter and Mila.

Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, TX, with Reverend Bob Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
