Sue Gwatney, age 87 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daniel Norris, of Crossroads Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Sue was born July 20, 1930 to Emmitt and Kattie Roberts in Greenbrier, Arkansas. She worked as a domestic engineer. She was an active member of Pickles Gap Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, VBS, and sang in the choir. She had a gift of sharing Jesus, especially with young children. She enjoyed serving lunch at home for everyone on Sunday after church. She loved sewing, making her children's clothes when she was younger. She was a seamstress for Personally Yours in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sue enjoyed reading Gods words and left many personal thoughts written in her Bible and devotionals. She always found the best in everyone.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gwatney; parents, Emmitt and Kattie Roberts; sisters, Weda Garret and Jo Wheeler; brother, Johnny Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayla Lindsey and husband, David; Susan Theaux and husband, Jarrell; Lynn Teague and husband, Ronnie all of Odessa; son, Greg Gwatney of Jacksonville, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be: John Anderson, David Werner, Michael Werner and Nicoles Griffin.
