Susan Kendall

Susan Gail Kendall, age 53, of Odessa, TX, passed away on May 16, 2016 in Midland, TX.

Susan Kendall was born on April 14, 1963 to Gerald and Judith Young in Odessa, TX. She graduated high school from Odessa High School. She also graduated Phi Theta Kappa, Dean's List and Summa Cum laude from Odessa College as a Medical Technologist. She worked as a Medical Technologist for Medical Center Hospital and various other lab facilities in Texas. She married Harold Kendall on February 6, 1986 in Odessa, TX.

Susan is preceded in death by her father, Robert Gerald Young; sister, Elizabeth Ann Young and her grandfather, Mack Cutbirth.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Harold Kendall; sons, Andrew David Kendall and Matthew Lee Chapman, both of Austin, TX; daughter, Christina Gail Carrasco, of Odessa, TX; mother, Judith Ann Young, of Odessa, TX; grandmother, Myrtle Beatrice Cutbirth, of Odessa, TX; sisters, Julia Bowman, of San Angelo, TX and Karen Young, of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Brittni Moreno, Alyzabeth Moreno, Angel Moreno, Gabriel Kendall, Alora Chapman, Kenadi Kendall, Hazel Chapman and Jacob Blevins; niece, Chelsey Kendall, of Odessa, TX

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Chapman, Andrew Kendall, David Carrasco, David Aldridge, Brittni Moreno and Ayla Chapman.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Daniel O'Hearn and his nurse, Angie and best friend John Shelton.
