Suzana (Suzy) Castillo, age 57, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Gardendale, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Fernando Bonilla, Father Ryan Rojo and Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be held at 4:00 pm in Cone Cemetery in Cone, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home and Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Suzy Castillo was born in Floydada, Texas to Antonio Castillo and Esperanza Castillo on April 2, 1961. She went to school at Ralls, Texas. She married Federico Castillo Jr. on July 19, 1980 in Ralls, Texas. She graduated from Ralls High School. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist at Glenwood Hospital and HealthSouth for many years. She was a member of LARS at Holy Redeemer. Suzy was a very active church member with CCD, youth groups and altar servers.
Suzy is preceded in death by her mother, Esperanza Castillo; sister, Martha Velasquez; brothers, Ernesto Castillo and Ricardo Castillo, her beloved furbaby, JR was by her side during her departure, also preceded by Courage and Sammie her other beloved furbabies.
Suzy is survived by her loving husband, Federico Castillo Jr., sons, Adan Castillo from Odessa and Arturo (Dianna) Castillo from Lubbock, her father Antonio Castillo from Lubbock, and siblings; Ramiro (JoAnn) Castillo, Margaret (Raul) Perez, Rudy (Mary) Castillo, Sandra Castillo all from Lubbock, Toni (Alex) Castro from Costa Rica plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends that loved her dearly. Suzy is also survived by her loyal furbabies, Valentina and grand-dogs, Silva and Johnny.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Leyba, Damien Lerma, Tommy Lerma, Nick Saldivar, Frank Leija, Jonathan Juarez.
The family of Mrs. Suzana Castillo wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of her Church family from Holy Redeemer and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Family would also like to express a special thank you to all of her close family and friends.
