Teddy Bevers

Teddy Ray "Ted" Bevers passed from this life on November 29, 2018 in Midland, Texas.

Ted was born April 3, 1944 to Hubert Bevers and Cora Wilma Luck in Amarillo, Texas. He married Vickie Batte on September 26, 1964 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Ted graduated from Lovington High School in 1963 and attended Hardin-Simmons University where he played basketball and ran track. Ted's career in the oil industry spanned 35 years and took him from El Paso, Texas to Boise, Idaho and finally to Odessa. He worked in sales and management for Hinkle Chevron Distributorship, Kent Oil and West Texas Gas.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jerry Bevers, Jack Bevers, and Jim Bevers; sister Patricia Homer; and nephews Joshua Batte, and Bill Bevers.

Ted is survived by wife Vickie; daughter Teri and Boyd Cowan of Midland, Texas; sons Barry and Jennifer Bevers of Hailey, Idaho, and Ronny and Becky Bevers of Richmond, Virginia. Ted also leaves behind grandchildren Kylie Cowan Herren, Kyndal Cowan, Bryce Bevers, Joshua Bevers, Blakely Bevers, Jackson Bevers and Addison Bevers and great-grandchildren Klayton Herrin and Kolbie Lyn Herren.

A memorial service to celebrate Ted's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at The Willows.
