Joe Ragan, age 82, of Midland, TX passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Midland Memorial in Midland. He was born in Dallas, TX on October 16, 1932 to Pat L. Ragan and Jessie V. McGee.
Joe traveled throughout Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming and it was in Monahans where Joe met the love of his life, Ann Christian Paulson and they were married on January 12, 1957.
Joe served in the Korean War as a pilot, while in the US Army Air Corps. Joe loved to fly and play the accordion. Joe had a passion for traveling and participated in Air Shows and even built his own airplane.
Joe was employed for Champlin Petroleum from 1962 to 1988 and served in Johns Department of Sunday school class.
Joe was preceded in death by both his parents and brother Robert Ragan.
Joe is survived by his wife Ann Ragan son John R. his wife Norma Ragan of Midland granddaughters Lauren and Andrea Ragan of Midland daughter JoAnna and husband Daryl Lowder, also of Midland.
Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Midland with David Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
